About MyProjects System
Capstone Project Evaluation System
System Overview:
MyProjects is a comprehensive platform designed to manage and evaluate graduation projects (also known as capstone projects) in academic institutions. It facilitates the entire lifecycle of the project, from initiation to evaluation, providing an organized, transparent, and efficient way to monitor and assess student performance. MyProjects streamlines the process for students, faculty, and administrators, ensuring that capstone projects meet academic standards and contribute meaningfully to students' educational experiences.
Current & Future Features of MyProjects:
- Project Submission and Registration: Students can submit their graduation project proposals through the system. MyProjects allows for seamless registration, where students can choose topics and submit proposals for approval by supervisors.
- Evaluation Criteria and Rubrics: The system integrates customizable evaluation rubrics that outline specific criteria for grading capstone projects. These rubrics can cover various aspects such as project originality, research methodology, technical execution, report quality, presentation skills, and teamwork.
- Progress Monitoring and Reporting: MyProjects provides administrators with the ability to track the overall status of graduation projects across the department or faculty. It generates detailed reports and analytics on student progress, advisor involvement, and the quality of completed projects.
- Project Evaluation: Capstone projects often require students to present their work before a panel. MyProjects facilitates the collection of evaluation scores from the panel members.
- Collaboration Tools: The system promotes collaboration among students, supervisors, examiners, and external stakeholders (such as industry mentors). MyProjects includes document sharing to enhance teamwork and project documentation.
- Final Reporting and Documentation: Upon completion of the project, MyProjects assists students in ensuring that all necessary documentation, including project deliverables and evaluations, is submitted in the correct format by providing templates for the deliverables.
- Presentation Scheduling: MyProjects allows for the scheduling of project presentations. It also facilitates a flexible allocation of examination duties among faculty members. (future feature)
- Feedback and Assessment: Faculty members, industry experts, and other evaluators can provide feedback at multiple stages of the project. MyProjects supports the collection of both qualitative and quantitative feedback from all evaluators, which is aggregated to generate final grades. This feedback is also accessible to students, helping them improve their work. (future feature)
- Project Management: MyProjects includes tools for project scheduling, task management, and resource allocation. Students can set deadlines, track milestones, and collaborate with team members (if the project is group-based). Faculty and administrators can monitor progress and intervene if necessary to ensure timely completion. (future feature)
- Plagiarism Detection: Built-in plagiarism detection tools ensure that students' work is original and meets academic integrity standards. MyProjects can compare submitted projects against a database of academic papers, journals, and online content. (future feature)
